Encore employs highly sought after dance teachers in the Chicagoland area. Each teacher brings a unique set of skills to the studio. We are thrilled to have these teachers as a part of the Encore Faculty!
Director of Encore Dance Team
Kristina is a native of Minooka, Illinois where she trained and danced competitively for 15 years. She is a graduate from Louisiana State University where she earned her BS in General Business with minors in Entrepreneurship and Dance. Currently, she is the director of Encore Dance Team. While at LSU, she performed and choreographed for the LSU dance ensemble. In 2018 she was given the honor of representing LSU as a choreographer at the American College Dance Festival Southern Region where her work, “Porcelain”, was awarded first runner up to be performed at the national conference. After graduating from LSU in 2018 she was invited to join the cast and production of “Dream Logos” on their European tour as an ensemble member, choreographer, contributing writer and contributing costume designer under the direction of Nick Erickson. She then went on to become an artist in residence at La Manufacture, Incubator Choreographique under the direction of Vendetta Matheau in Aurillac, France. Kristina was the assistant varsity dance team coach at Joliet Catholic High School. Her many performance experiences influence her teaching, and she is incredibly passionate about the development of young artists.
Jen is an accomplished teacher and choreographer that has been part of the Chicagoland dance instructor community for 25+ years. Jen trained locally as a student then attended College of DuPage to receive her associate in the Arts to then transfer to the dance program at Columbia College in Chicago. She attended classes at Joel Hall Dance Center and trained at Hubbard Street Dance Center as well in Chicago. Realizing she very much wanted to teach technique along with setting choreography Jen has been very lucky to be part of amazing studio faculties locally along with being sought out for master classes, intensives and choreography around the midwest.
:Cadence Niccum is soon to be a graduate of Illinois State University’s Dance Program. Dancing for 21 years, Cadence has had the opportunity to both perform and choreograph in a wide variety of dance genres. She has trained as a competitive dancer with her high school dance team, as well as private studios. During her time at Illinois State she was a four year member of ISU’s official dance team, Redline Express and company member of the pre-professional company, Dance Theatre. As a company member, Cadence has had the opportunity to work with Illinois State’s esteemed dance faculty and other respected choreographers within the field. Her choreography experience includes, local studios, Parkside Junior High Dance Team, Redline Express, and Illinois State’s Dance Inventions Concert. Cadence looks forward to this next dance season and her return to Encore Dance Productions.
Director of Revive Dance Company
Callie has been a Chicagoland dancer since a very young age. She received several scholarships and opportunities through conventions and competitions. Callie majored in Dance Education with a minor in Physical Education at ISU. She danced for Redline Express Dance Team all 4 years while at ISU. Callie was also a part of ISDT and ISDA throughout her time at Illinois State University. She was in pieces choreographed by Sara Semonis, Jessica Riss-Waltrip and Darby Wilde. Callie also performed a piece choreographed by Abbey Hanson that was selected to perform at the ACDFA gala. Currently, Callie is a dance teacher and head coach at Plainfield North High School. At Encore, she is the Revive Dance Company Director and a Rehearsal Director for EDC.
Director of Tiny Tutu's Program
Bethanie has been dancing since the age of 3. She started as a student at Encore and danced competitively until the age of 18. While at Encore, Bethanie was able to take classes from world renowned choreographers such as Brian Friedman, Tyce Diorio, Mia Michaels, and countless others. Bethanie began teaching at Encore in her senior year of high school. Bethanie attended the University of Illinois at Chicago and was a member of their dance team, serving as captain her senior year. She graduated with a communication degree. While at UIC, Bethanie went to Shanghai, China to dance in their International Arts Festival. She also competed at the Dance Grandprix in Barcelona, Spain. Since graduating from college, Bethanie has continued her dance teacher education by attending seminars and classes. Those have awarded her with continuing education certificates for both Preschool aged classes as well as technique/movement classes. Currently, Bethanie is one of the competition directors for Encore Dance Company as well as the head of the Tiny Tutus Program.
EDC Rehearsal Director
Hailey began her dance career at the young age of three, and there was no turning back. She took classes at the park district for one year and then began her competitive dance career at Storm Dance Alliance directed by Brook Langkan and Lindy Wade at the time. Hailey was with Lindy’s Company, Nouveau Dance Company for two years. Brian Rabenda started B-Discovered Dance Company, and that’s where Hailey pre-professionally trained for nine years. She was trained in many styles such as jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and ballet. Hailey has learned from well-known choreographers such as, Chad Mccall, Kirsten Russell, Emily Shock, Elissa Edwards, and ballet professional Avnun Yakubov. Hailey spent many summers training at River North in Chicago. Hailey won many titles and scholarships from Jump Dance Convention, Adrenaline Dance Convention, Hall of Fame Dance Challenge and many more, as well as national championships in Las Vegas from 2009-2017. Hailey was also on her high school dance team at Plainfield North under the instruction of Callie Gliwa. With many years of dance experience she wasn’t quite done after high school. Hailey got the opportunity to teach at Encore Dance Productions she could not wait to share her passion with her students.
Amelia has been training in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, Musical Theatre and Jazz Funk since the age of 4. I have had the opportunity to learn from Encores finest teachers and world renowned, leading industry faculty/choreographers from FL, Las Vegas, LA, Canada and more. She is signed with MSA Talent Agency and has been cast in “Once Upon A River”, a Commercial for A Trolls Movie, Chicago Fire and a Universal Dreamworks Movie promotional commercial for Despicable Me 3. Amelia is an Academy member for Art of Movement and assists Sarah Burney. After graduation she plans to move to LA to pursue my commercial dance career and Study Fashion Design and Merchandising.
