Gayle Boggetto

Gayle starting training at a young age.   She Coached Troy Dance Team and taught at many dance camps in the area.  In 1994 she opened and was co owner of Midwest Dance Company.  During her time there she taught Ballet, Jazz, PreSchool, Kcombo, Hip Hop, Tumbling and Zumba.  She was also the Company Director for the competition team, Vital Edge, who attended many National Events and was awarded Best in Show at NYCDA (New York City Dance Alliance) Gayle danced with the Chicago Luvabulls at the Studio opening.

Cathy Gliwa

Cathy started dancing at a young age taking Ballet, Tumbling and focusing on Tap.  She started teaching at Midwest Dance Company in 1995.  She taught tumbling, PreSchool, KCombo and all of the tap classes .  Her Tap choreography was competed in Orlando for Nationals.  She also taught Mommy and Me and Tumbling for many years at Plainfield Park District.  Cathy was also the head coach for Minooka High School Dance Team taking home many top awards including placing 2nd in the State tournament.

Gayle and Cathy toured the country with Co Dance, a National dance convention/competition.  Through Co Dance they worked with (Judges assistants) Paula Abdul, Cris Judd, Tyce D’Orio, Gus Giordano, Gregg Russell, Nancy O’Mera, Barry Youngblood and many more.

They were also guests on the very first episode of Dance Talk Radio, which opened the door for dance podcasts today.

 

In 2004 Midwest Dance closed and re-emerged as Encore Dance Productions, with Cathy Gliwa now becoming Gayle Boggetto’s co-owner.

As Founders and Co Executive Directors they wanted to create the “dream” studio for dancers of all ages and skills.

Gayle and Cathy have been conscientious of their clients needs, and have a highly trained faculty to give the dancers the best experience and dance education. The bar continues to be raised every season.

The Competition Team, EDC has placed first at Nationals many times over the years. 

As owners, Gayle and Cathy are so proud of their Alumni dancers!  Many of the graduates have received college dance scholarships, dance professionally and also become dance teachers themselves.

Their biggest compliment to date is having many of their Alumni’s Children as current students.  Putting their trust in Encore, as their parents did for them.
