My Story

Callie Kneip, a native of Chicagoland, discovered her passion for dance at a young age. Throughout her formative years, Callie's dedication and talent were evident, earning her numerous scholarships and awards for her outstanding performances. These accolades fueled her ambition to pursue a career in dance and further hone her craft. 

Upon entering college, Callie pursued her dreams by majoring in Dance Education with a minor in Physical Education from Illinois State University. This academic path not only deepened her understanding of dance technique and theory but also equipped her with the skills to impart her knowledge to others, blending her passion for movement with her desire to educate. While attending ISU, Callie was captain of Redline Express Dance Team and participated in their pre-professional company, Illinois State Dance Theatre.

Outside the classroom, Callie's creative flair flourished as she delved into the art of choreography. Her work with Encore, a renowned dance company, consistently garnered recognition and awards, showcasing her innovative vision and storytelling through movement.

Even after completing her formal education, Callie's thirst for learning and growth remained unquenchable. She has continued to expand her horizons by taking classes and workshops, constantly refining her skills and staying up to date with the  latest developments in the dance world.

Moreover, Callie remains an active member of the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO), contributing to the advancement of dance education and fostering connections within the dance community. Currently, Callie teaches at Plainfield North High School and is the head coach of the Dance Team. 

As Callie Kneip continues to carve her path in the world of dance, her journey serves as an inspiration to aspiring dancers and educators alike, embodying the spirit of creativity, dedication, and lifelong learning.
